Silent Auction /Swap Meet!!!

Saturday November 16th! Great time to off-load a beautiful hangar queen or get all the rc supplies you need if new to the hobby. Normally, you select your own set-up location and display your stuff--first come--first served on tables, chairs, shade.  You can trade, swap, sell---you set prices and keep 100% of transaction. We have a LOT of new members, many junior members, so they are looking for planes, transmitters, accessories, so come on out! These are fun events with 30+ people coming out to hunt for that ultra-rare super RC treasure that they MUST have. Good time to raise some Christmas cash.   More details to follow.

Next Club Meeting!

Next HCAM club meeting is Monday, November 11th, 2019 at 7pm at La Posada Mexican Restaurant (WestGate Blvd and William Cannon).Directors meeting is a 1pm on the previous Sunday.Great food, good discussions--so come on out!

Field Safety!

Have a personal plan for safety! Maybe a fire extinguisher and first aid kit in your car.  HCAM field has both in the First Aid steel box which has to be locked due to theft.

Be sure not to leave any RC gear behind. Lock everything up.  Keep an eye on your car if you leave it open while flying. Personal awarenss is the key to a happy day of flying.

HCAM Member Directory

If you are looking for a HCAM member contact info, use the Membership Directory available in Members Only section.

If members want fly-ins or auctions, or fun-flys---you need to (1.) tell your club leaders and (2.) volunteer to help the set-up, running the event and take-down after the event.  We can do ANYTHING, but it takes member involvement.

The Hill Country Aeromodelers (HCAM) is an association of Radio Controlled model aircraft enthusiasts. The club is a non-profit organization chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the national umbrella organization for aeromodeling in the United States.

The club operates from and maintains Ralph DeClairmont RC Flying Field in South Austin, inside Mary Moore Searight Metropolitan Park. We have a recently resurfaced asphalt runway that is approximately 550 ft. by 50 ft. There is plenty of shade in the operations building.

Visitors and spectators are always welcome and members are always available to talk with you about this fun and exciting hobby. Come by and see us!
